Open Health Labs are created by Latvian National Health Service together with innovation management company Helve to foster innovative and digital solution implementation in healthcare organizations across Latvia. And note - the digital health accelerator is just the first step for Open Health Labs and a small part of the digital health in Latvia today and in future.
Behind Open Health Labs
The National Health Service (NHS) is the operating direct administrative institution subordinate to Ministry of Health of Republic of Latvia.
The aim of the NHS is to implement State policy for availability of health care services, administrate the State budgetary funds prescribed for health care, implement State policy in the planning of health care services, ensure rational and the most effective use of State budget, implement the e-Health programme according to the policy decided by the State.
Helve is an open innovation management company that connects businesses with innovators to foster success through the power of collaboration.
